What We Are…
We are a Baptist, Evangelical, Bible believing fellowship of regenerated Christians and part of the universal Church, the Body of Christ.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, without error in its original writings. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
The Trinity
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three co-equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will personally return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, and indwells, guides, and empowers Christians to live godly lives. The fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of His presence.
Satan
We believe Satan is a real personal being, the enemy of God and His people, who will ultimately be defeated and cast into the lake of fire.
Creation and the Fall
We believe God created the world and humanity in His image. Man fell into sin through disobedience, and as a result, all people are born with a sinful nature and are spiritually dead apart from God’s grace.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It includes regeneration (the new birth), justification (being declared righteous), and sanctification (being made holy). Eternal life is God’s free gift and is securely kept by Him.
The Church
We believe the local church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant, and organized according to the New Testament pattern. Its mission is to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and observe the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism
We believe baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It symbolizes union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
The Lord’s Supper
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s death, using bread and wine (or juice) to remember His broken body and shed blood until He returns.
Civil Government & Religious Liberty
We believe government is ordained by God and we are to be good citizens. We also believe in religious liberty — every person has the right to believe and practice their faith without coercion.
The Lord’s Day
We believe the first day of the week is set apart for worship, rest, and spiritual devotion.
Eternity
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved will enjoy everlasting life with God in Heaven; the lost will suffer everlasting, conscious separation from God in Hell.
